With LINEMO, there is no data consumption for voice calls or video calls, let alone chats on LINE app.
Even if you use up your data capacity (or if communication speed restrictions are imposed), the communication speed of LINE app will not decrease. *1 *2
- *1 Some features are not covered by LINE GB unlimited, such as sharing location information in chats, using the stamp shop, and reading news articles.
- *2 When using iCloud+ on iOS 15 or later, if you use GB unlimited eligible services from the Safari browser with Private Relay turned on, your data may be consumed. If you turn off Private Relay, you can use GB unlimited Free eligible services without consuming data, just like in iOS 14 and earlier. See here for instructions on how to turn it off.

In addition to using LINE app for chatting, making voice calls, and video calls, LINE GB unlimited plan also covers sending and receiving large data-sized images and videos, and posting to LINE VOOM (formerly Timeline).

Additionally, upgrades or updates to the OS, browser or application, switching from Wi-Fi, or other technical factors may result in data not being covered by GB unlimited.

- The service covered by GB unlimited is LINE (a service provided by LY Corporation under the name "LINE" that enables registered users to send and receive messages, make voice and video calls, etc.).
- GB unlimited applies not only when you use LINE as an application, but also when you use LINE in a web browser.
However, when using iCloud+ on iOS 15 or later, if you use GB unlimited eligible services from the Safari browser with Private Relay turned on, your data may be consumed. If you turn off Private Relay, you can use GB unlimited Free eligible services without consuming data, just like in iOS 14 and earlier.
How to turn off "Private Relay"
① Open "Settings" from the home screen
② Tap "Apple Account"
③ Tap "iCloud"
④Tap Private Relay
⑤Tap the Private Relay toggle switch
⑥Tap "Turn off Private Relay"
- Services covered by GB unlimited may be changed, added, discontinued, or may become ineligible for GB unlimited.
- Even for data communications that are listed as eligible for GB unlimited, data volume may be consumed due to technical factors such as changes in identifiers or the occurrence of reasons for which identification cannot be determined due to version upgrades, updates or other updates of the OS, browser or application, or data communications via a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
- Even if the data communication is listed as eligible for GB unlimited, if you are using an eligible service on a network other than the LINEMO communication service, such as Wi-Fi, and then switch from that other network to the LINEMO communication service, data may be consumed.
- If you wish to use paid services within LINE service, you will need to make a separate payment.
